About CSO

Central Susquehanna Opportunities, Inc. (CSO) creates opportunities for residents and communities across Central Pennsylvania to thrive. As a nonprofit, community‑based 501(c)(3) charitable organization, we build strong connections among neighbors, community organizations, government agencies, and businesses to foster positive, sustainable change and improve overall quality of life throughout the region.

CSO serves as the Community Action Agency for Northumberland, Columbia, and Montour counties, working to address barriers to stability and promote self‑sufficiency. We also support workforce development by helping people find jobs—and helping employers find workers—across Clinton, Columbia, Northumberland, Union, Snyder, Mifflin, Montour, Centre, and Lycoming counties through our partnership with Advance Central PA and PA CareerLink®.

Our goals are to promote long‑term regional growth and work toward the elimination of poverty by continually strengthening the social, educational, and economic environment in the communities we serve.
