Get Involved

When you get involved with Central Susquehanna Opportunities, you become part of the work that strengthens individuals, supports families, and builds thriving communities across our region.

Whether you give your time, your voice, or your support, there’s a place for you here.

Volunteer With Us

There are many ways to get involved and support our community, including:

  • Mobile Food Pantry distributions

  • Assisting in our on‑site food pantry

  • Participating in VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)

Donate

Your financial support helps remove barriers and expand access to essential services such as food assistance, self‑sufficiency case management, and homelessness and near‑homelessness support. Every gift helps individuals and families move toward stability and independence.

Join our Events

CSO hosts and participates in community events throughout the year that raise awareness and critical funding for our programs. From fundraisers like our Annual Golf Tournament to outreach and engagement events, these moments bring the community together for a shared purpose.

Case Management

Our case management programs support individuals and families who are working hard to get ahead, as well as individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability. CSO case managers walk alongside participants as they set goals, overcome barriers, and work toward stability for themselves and their families. Your contribution helps provide the resources, guidance, and supports individuals need to move forward and achieve lasting change.

Food Access

Help keep our food distributions well‑stocked with healthy, hearty options for individuals and families facing food insecurity. We hold an average of 15 food distributions each month across Northumberland, Montour, and Columbia counties, ensuring neighbors have access to nutritious food close to home. Donations to this focus area directly support the purchase and distribution of food throughout our service area.

Keep Our Kids Warm

Each fall, CSO’s Keep Our Kids Warm program distributes hundreds of coats to children and families in our community. As colder weather approaches, your support helps ensure children stay warm, healthy, and ready to learn throughout the winter months. A gift to this program provides comfort, dignity, and peace of mind for families when they need it most.

Have another specific need in mind?

If you have a particular cause, idea, or vision you’d like to support, please send us an email and we’d be happy to discuss how we can work together to make your vision a reality.
